VVTi 1JZ Bolt-On Turbocharger Systems

Our location in Vancouver, Canada (along with our combined 20 years experience in turbocharger design and manufacturing) puts us at an advantage when it comes to developing a turbocharger for Toyota's VVT-I 1JZ engine found in JZX100 and JZX110 sedans. As these cars have been legal in Canada for some time, we have ample hands-on experience with these unique motors. With legal importation of these vehicles to the USA about to open up, all of North America will soon be able to enjoy these torquey and responsive straight 6's.

If you've been able to drive or even be a passenger in a VVT-i 1jz vehicle, you will understand how well the low and midrange power has been improved over the previous 1st generation 1jz. With the stock engine package however, this has come with a comparative reduction in top end power output.

Our aim at the beginning of the development of these turbochargers is simple: Develop upgrade turbocharger options that are well matched to the low and mid-range Volumetric efficiency of these engines. As with all our products, we aim to maximize value, while also allowing for full customization of your Turbocharger system for Motorsports usage.

SM405/R- OEM response and more Power everywhere.

Built around our latest SR/51 Turbo, with an all-new Compressor and updated Turbine Wheel, this kit is designed to be a full bolt-on solution for your stock or lighty modified JZX100. Amazing response is maintained, however both ends of the Turbocharger have been optimized for 12-18 PSI boost levels. Installation with your OEM exhaust manifold and compressor interface points is possible, and at boost levels below 12PSI it can be run on a stock ECU and fueling. Optimized for stock-like response and great low-mid range torque, but without the reliability issues and poor top-end power of the OEM Turbo, this is a perfect option for a reliable street or drift Car. With the proper supporting mods however, this responsive option will still allow for up to 400BHP.

SM505/R- Perfect Power Characteristics.

Our latest update of the SM500/R kit is built around our latest dual Ball Bearing CHRA, with a 55mm Turbine and all-new Billet Compressor Wheel Capable of supporting up to 55lb/min of airflow.  Improved rotor group sealing, with the addition of twin seal ring assemblies, ensure reliable sealing at both ends. An upgraded internal wastegate actuator is included, and can be calibrated for boost pressures between 14 and 20 PSI and features a larger diameter wastegate port and flapper. Usage with or without upgraded camshafts can still provide impressive results. Output up to 500BHP can be expected with supporting modifications, however we have found this power range is difficult to surpass with the OEM Exhaust Manifold.

SM555/R - Additional Features and Performance

Our Highest-Power VVTi 1JZ bolt-on Turbocharger kit is built around our newly-released 57/LPR ball-bearing Turbocharger. This Compressor features a high-trim, low-Inertia 57mm Compressor Wheel with a high degree of blade backsweep. The result is up to 60lb/min of airflow, with increased efficiency at low-mid range Pressure Ratio and very good Surge resistance.  This turbo features an all-new CHRA and can be built around an either Iron or Aluminum Bearing Housing, reducing mass and allowing for the unit to be fully corrosion resistant. Improved cooling jacket and stainless heat shield improve durability at high temperatures, and twin piston rings on both sides of the rotor group increase sealing effectiveness. While this larger Compressor can support a significant increase in airflow, response is still surprising... with full boost available before 4kRPM.


* Please note - While the standard option for these Turbochargers has the OEM bolted flange for both inlet and outlet of the Compressor housing, and can work with either the OEM J-pipe or aftermarket J-pipe delete, we heavily suggest using our 3" inlet version. 

The factory J pipe is known to be quite restrictive, and most of the aftermarket J-pipe deletes available are less than ideal, with a sharp reduction in diameter. 

Our intake option includes a 3" aluminum intake, with provisions and lines for both the IACV and the valve cover crankcase breather. This kit also includes a K&N Filter, along with couplers, clamps, and a hot pipe piece to connect to your OEM charge pipes or any upgrade intercooler / piping kit.
